They’re back and crazier/weirder/funnier as ever. Have to purchase the album.
The song as usual has a deep meaning that says “USE YOUR FUCKING BRAIN AND STOP DANCING/SINGING SONGS THAT DOESN’T MEAN SHIT”.

BTS x No More Dream

I wasn’t going to watch their debut mv…why? Because of the name: BTS! It’s the name of a degree here in France so very weird name for me. Actually their BTS (방탄소년단) stands for Bangtan Boys (I believe Bulletproof Boys Scouts).

I was really surprised by these rookies! The song is really good, the moral behind the lyrics good as well: in brief, why telling me to dream big, to go to school,do better, when you can’t follow your own words. Things we are all being told at some point in our lives: “What is your dream??”. Why do you wanna know??? lol.

The “rapping” > They have some very good rappers in the band! I feel like they are really themselves, no imposed behavior for “image” purpose. Let’s talk about Rap Monster first… He’s the leader, main rapper and I’ve got to say very charismatic this young fella! I lovvvvve Suga’s flow and sw*g (sorry I hate this word), very fresh in a boys band. Same goes for the young JeongKook (only 16!). And J-hope is really good too, very energetic and I love it!

The singing > Jimin, Jin and V are the vocalist of the band and I think they were all rapping in this song. I believe they were very natural in this exercise. As this is a “end of the world-ish/badboy” song it’s hard to really see their vocal talent. But I really do believe they are as good as their rapper friends

In the end, I don’t regret having seen this MV. BTS is a savant mix of B.A.P and regretted Block B…They’ve got the B.A.P’s first day swag and Block B’s musical particularity. Plus they are all very good looking… and young (blah T_T). Hoping their next song will be as good as this one, I’m gonna put this rookie band in my “to watch closely” closet. I can’t wait to see what they got to offer next!
